The Rural Futures Deck is a reflection of our shared context—a collection of places, people, questions, and visions. Out in the hinterlands and in the heart of our homes, we are building a shared future that is vast, mycelial, and entwined.  This project is a deep collaborative effort.

Use these cards as a tool in your community to collectively dream, to combat complacency, build equitable systems, and deepen understanding across generations and geographies. Explore shared identity, stewardship and sovereignty, cultural reclamation, and community healing. 

These cards were developed in collaboration with the 163 folks attending the Rural Futures Summit in Fergus Falls, Minnesota in June 2023, hosted by Springboard for the Arts. Rural Regenerator Fellows brought friends, family, and community members together for four days of fellowship, skill-sharing, coalition building, and good old-fashioned fun.
